Petrol Price Hike…

Nowadays the petrol price hike is spoken as a big issue. Many are against the price hike. But I feel that the price of the petrol must be still increased in our country… The profit which the government gets because of the petrol price hike must be used in some useful ways.

In our country majority of our import bill is because of Oil. If we reduce our oil imports by a small percentages then that small percentage of the money which the government saves can be used for many things, and in order to reduce the imports the usage must be less... and to reduce the usage the price of the oil must be more...

The first thing which will come to our mind when oil price raise is fuel for our vehicle... but if we are those who use public mode of transport we wont talk abt the fuel price hike. For example say u travel by MTC bus, the increase in the petrol price will be shared be all those who use that MTC bus right? The government must gradually improve the public transport facility…If the public transport facility is good then with the increase in petrol price all people will gradually shift to public transport... because of this apart from reducing the import bill the government will also get revenue from the transport service… doesn’t that sound good?

But on the other side the price hike has its own disadvantages too…The transportation charges of vegetables food items and other things will also go up. This will result in raise in price of vegetables and other essential items… And with the raise of petrol price the automobile industry will also be affected and this may slow down our economy... and this will affect many sectors directly or indirectly with these things we can argue that the petrol price hike is bad...

what ever it might be Oil is a non renewable source of energy. More over burning the oil is going to pollute our environment and will make the world a bad place to live for us and also for our future generations... so I feel good that the price hike reduces the consumption of oil atleast by a small percentage :)

In our socitey we can’t blame others…

Yesterday I had a chance of going to gold merchants shop… it was one of the leading shops in the city… I had been to the anna nagar branch… the shop was marvellous, the lighting’s where pakka and all the sales persons where neatly dressed and they spoke good English too… I was surprised by the way the sales persons handled the customers. Every thing was prefect in that shop… finally when the purchase was made the sales person gives a rough estimate for the items which we have ordered for and he says another word… “go to the counter they will reduce the rates” and in the counter they give a discount of Rs 50 and in addition to that he cuts off the sales tax… i.e he gives the gold without any bills… in a matter of 5mts the shop keeper made sales for up to Rs 50000 and none of the customers received bills for the purchase… they were happy to get the items without bills (i.e without paying tax) and in few mts the shop keeper earned rs 50000 (black money)… this happened in a shop for which majority of the customers were educated people… and this doesn’t stop with jewellery shop… it does exist in all mobile phone shops, medical shop and also in provisional stores…

The government is loosing a huge income because of this practice. And the educated people fit only to see movies like mudhalvan and anniyan and say thing should be like this, our politicians and worst, they r not running the government well blab blab blab….but they will not accept the mistakes which they are doing…. If the educated people are like this then what will uneducated people do… uneducated will smoke in trains and busses and will rob and will do all sort of nonsense…

Finally whom can we blame????

before blaming others we shoud be clear on our part( reform and transform)
